Yeah, I think it is kind of a chicken/egg thing. They make more tourist dollars when you can actually touch/climb the things but that makes upkeep so much more expensive, so is it really worth it? I don't think you can do Chitzen Itza anymore, they have ended climbing for tourists. But dear god, I though coming down was scary enough; can't imagine it in the rain.

As of, like, 2010, they still (Legally!) let you climb the thieves entrance into the emperor's tomb at the Great Pyramid at Giza. It cost me an extra $20 US. Very warm, claustrophobic, and not much to see, but a highlight of my life.

And when I say the therapies inside, I'm speaking more to group stuff, which was like three times a day. The doctors and nurses were very good individually.

All of the above. I just needed a break. I'm not sure the therapies inside helped much, but just having time to clear my mind was a good thing. And I got hooked up with some people on the outside who will hopefully help me stay this way.
